If you are unable to get the ODB software to download at all, or you can't find what you downloaded, then you came to the right place! Here are some tips to help you resolve this problem:

  1. If the file did not download, but Word or IE opened up and the window contained garbage characters, please skip to step 7).
  2. If the file never downloaded and nothing happened after you clicked the "Download" button on the ODB Download Confirmation page, check your network connection.
  3. If your network is working and the www.organizenow.net web site still seems to be operating, try rebooting your PC, using a different web browser, or downloading the software from a different PC. (If you discover that our web pages don't work with a particular brand of browser, please tell us so that we can fix it!)
  4. If the file download was interrupted before it completed, you should start the process over (unless you have special software that allows the process to to resume). Just go back to the http://organizersdb.org page. If you are asked if you want to overwrite the incomplete download, say "yes."
  5. If you downloaded the file to the desktop, close all your windows so that you can see it. It should say "odbinstall-95b" or something like that. Double-click on it, or just click once on it and then press the Enter key on your keyboard. If everything is working, then it will bring up a window that reads "Organizers Database 0.9.5b Installer" at the top.
  6. If you downloaded to some location other than your desktop and you can't find it now, try this:
    a) Choose Find -->Files and Folders from the Start menu built into Windows. On some Windows versions this is labeled Search-->For Files and Folders.
    b) Click on the tiny rectangular "maximize" button on the top right of the Find window to enlarge it.
    c) Type "odbinstall-95b.exe" into the search box for names of files.
    d) Make sure that the Find window is set to look everywhere for the file; it should be looking in 'c:' with "include subfolders" checked.
    e) Click the search button and then open the result that corresponds to the file you just downloaded. Each search result should be dated.
  7. As a last resort, we provide a link to the program download, here, although this link is updated only when we receive word that someone has problems using our forms. To use this link, right-click on it and choose "Save Target As..." or "Save Link As..." to complete the download.
