Can you assign multiple codes to donors in ODB

I need the capacity to assign mulitple codes to individual donors(membership, tribute gift, capital campaign gift, regular contribution)in a fundraising database. Is this possible to do with ODB?

Hi Brent,

Yes you can! Each donor can be coded in lots of different ways - a record type code, activity codes, constituency codes, etc. These are all user defineable. Each gift/payment can be given a Category, sub-category and Appeal code. This will easily handle your tribute gift, capital campagin gift and regular contribution requirements.

hi Brent -
You might notice that the Sample database has three different levels of codes defined for each gift, while the default new database has just one level defined. There are ODB settings (showsubcategory, showappealcode) to show the additional levels which you may turn on.
