One of the most powerful features of ODB is the ability to change almost any configuration setting, tracking code, or type code within the software. There are two types of customizations possible:

1. Changing tracking codes and type classifications to reflect activities, issues, constituencies, volunteer actions, etc. that are relevant to your group.

2. Modifying more than 160 settings and prompts.

We highly recommend that you complete the Customization Survey (found in the Appendix and at www.organizersdb.org/docs/worksheets) before modifying codes and settings. The survey is designed to help you think about which codes you will need, and provides examples of how the codes can be used effectively.
