This is something that should be in ODB, but is not. There is a feature for exporting payments but this currently does not include the 'giftcomment' field. If you can go to mantis.organizersdb.org and request this feature then it will get put on the 'to-do' list by ODB's developers.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank you immensely for settling the formula issue for selecting records. That was so helpful you can't imagine!!
In response to your comment about why we do a 4500 mailing in-house the answer is simple--we don't have enough money to do it any other way. That's why ODB was our best bet for a database. We've been doing it in-house for so long that we have it down to a science and it usually works very smoothly. We've investigated outsourcing it, but the price is not worth it.
