For early adopters, we are happy to make available a public release candidate of the new ODB 1.1! You may download it at: http://organizersdb.org/1.0/odbinstall-1.1.exe. After you install this, please also install the hotfix at http://organizersdb.org/1.0/odb1.1.zip -- which is a replacement ODB.exe file. To install the hotfix, unzip it and then drag the contents of this archive into your ODB program folder. Your ODB program folder can be located when you right click the 'Run ODB' icon on your desktop and choose Properties->Find Target.

The new release is signficantly more stable than 1.0.2, however we will wait a week or two before we release a full install program.

We have made 11 enhancements, 7 major bug fixes, 29 usability enhancements, and 26 minor fixes in this release! Thanks to all of you who reported bugs; the numbers you see below can be used to look up the issue in our bug database at http://mantis.organizersdb.org.

A. Enhancements

1. HTML Payment reports.  Enhanced the "payment export" feature by adding HTML previews of the reports, easier exporting to Excel, and the ability to add custom CSS style information. Added the ability to export gift comments, among other fields. Prior to this it was not possible to view a preview of the payment summary reports.
2. HTML Note/Pledge reports.  Implemented similar reports and export options for Notes and for Pledges.
3. New Mass update features - for Payments, Notes, Pledges, and Class codes
4. Thank you notes -- ability to customize font size, font face or hide date entirely
5. Custom code labels -- implemented for payment subcategory and appeal codes, class pulldown
6. Whitepages.com -- added as a new search,
because they offer a list of names of neighbors
7. Note Date - field added to notes window
8. Increase flexibility in ODB's membership features:  the 'Joined' date can now be displayed in the search screen instead of the membership expiration date.
9. Apartment number now used in the sort Advanced sort by address (column head-click)
10. Jobtitle options is now available. JobTitle is an additional address line for formal addresses;
11.  NationalID field now implemented. This is a read-only field that references the ID of someone in a different database (i.e. the ID of a person in your chapter in the national office database)

B. Critical bugs fixed

1. There were multiple problems in the implementation of the 'Groups' area of ODB. The print functions were not working; the sponsor amounts, Contact1, Contact2 links were not cleared out. When a person was deleted who was linked to a group, the link was not automatically cleared.
2. There were multiple problems in the new implementation of Thank You note printing, causing ODB to abort printing with an 'item not found in collection' error. These are fixed. Also, the thank you note printing for groups that use just one thank you note should now be working again.
3. The upgrade issues that could cause ODB to crash while adding a payment or while viewing payment history are resolved.
4. Three major import problems fixed; Import could fail if: street number fields contained exactly 8 characters; if import data contained a vertical bar; if the occupation or oldID field was selected.
5. Incorrectly defining the Class field setting could cause odb to crash on startup.
6. The Mass Update function, when setting one VID code, would wipe out other VID codes for a given record
7. The problem with printing in a tiny 1-pt font should now be resolved.
