Tracking non monetary pledges.As a startup private school, we will be runnning on a shoe string. We are also trying to build a community. To do this we ask our constituents not for money but for time. We want to be able to track: We want a user to be able to do things like "pledge 2 weekends a month" for "teaching natural history in the parks" or "1 canoe expedition per year" as "cook and steersman" We want a way to be able to follow up on these pledges -- how reliable are they at following through. How good a job did they do? Recommendations for future use. Finally we need a place to make notes of a confidential nature on these: Is ODB the right application for what I want to do? Probably not
ODB allows you to add many designations for each person, though you would have to tweak the system quite a bit for non-monetary donations. Also, you could assign public notes for each person though searching for specific entries using those can be tricky. I also haven't seen any method to hide confidential assessments. I would search elsewhere for a different database.
